Memories of Dust
is a project that explores the codes of traditional masculinity in my home state of Texas. I revisit the figure of the cowboy, a male icon shaped by the media, within an American society undergoing profound transformation.

The project includes quotes from conversations with ranchers that offer a more honest and nuanced perspective on the contemporary cowboy.

A selection of prints is available at the Gaby Vera Fine Arts gallery. Inkjet
prints. Edition of 10 + 2 APs. Signed, titled, dated, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

In parallel with the project, a documentary sound piece composed of conversations with ranchers and field recordings can be listened to here.
Please get in touch for the full portfolio.
